The DELE is an official Diploma issued by the Spanish Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. These official titles certify the degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language. The examination sessions are organised by the Instituto Cervantes several times a year for each level and they take place in over a hundred different countries. Don’t forget to take into account applications’ deadlines and sign up for your test in advance! 😄😄
There are six different levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. These levels can be grouped into three pairs: Beginner (A1/A2), Intermediate (B1/B2) and Advanced or Proficiency (C1/C2). Beginners have a basic level of the language, learners in the Intermediate group are considered as independent speakers and finally, the last group is integrated by bilinguals or non-native speakers. There are also two more exams’ formats for scholars between the ages of 11 and 17. They can pass the A1 level and a unique A2/B1 exam.
